In May and June 2024, ϳԹstudents and faculty travelled to Spain and New Zealand for their experiential learning.

Ten ϳԹstudents learned about the distinctions and commonalities among Indigenous peoples worldwide by comparing their language and knowledge with that of the Māori people during the Maymester course, “Global Indigenous Language and Cultural Ways of Knowing,” which took place at ϳԹand in New Zealand from May 6 to June 13.

A group of 11 ϳԹstudents are currently at the University of Burgos in northern Spain, delving into understanding how heritage can be a key resource in promoting sustainable economic development in rural areas. The students are accompanied by Dr. Melissa James, director of undergraduate programs, ϳԹFaculty of Business, and Sherilyn Acorn, manager of the Study and Stay and exchange programs, Office of Study Abroad and International Collaboration.
