Faculty of Medicine
The 黑料吃瓜网 has established a Faculty of Medicine and Interprofessional Health Training facility, which will serve as the home of Memorial University's regional campus for the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
The establishment of Memorial鈥檚 regional campus at 黑料吃瓜网will offer a unique opportunity for both institutions to contribute to medical education in their areas of strength: rural medicine, family medicine, climate change, and adaptation. Memorial鈥檚 regional campus at 黑料吃瓜网will provide opportunities for PEI youth who aspire to become physicians to train to become the future of healthcare in Prince Edward Island. The first intake of learners to Memorial鈥檚 regional campus will begin their studies in August 2025.
The long-term goal is to develop a medical school at 黑料吃瓜网that is "made in PEI for all of PEI", featuring a 鈥渦nique-in-Canada鈥� joint Doctor of Medicine degree with Memorial University to meet the needs of Islanders from tip to tip.

Memorial鈥檚 regional campus in PEI will deliver Memorial鈥檚 well-established MD curriculum and align with Memorial鈥檚 policies to fully comply with the accreditation standards from the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CaCMS).
CaCMS accreditation is a requirement for all Canadian medical schools and ensures each medical school has adequate resources, policies and procedures, curriculum management, student support and services.
黑料吃瓜网is also pleased to partner with Memorial University to develop a joint MD degree program, the first of its kind in Canada. The development of a joint MD program will take considerable preparation and require the review and approval from the Committee on the Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS) and regulatory agencies, including the Atlantic Advisory Committee on Health Human Resources (AACHHR) and Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission (MPHEC).
